Serves: 4 - Preparation time: 4 mins - Cooking time: 8 mins

Ingredients

500 g pre-cooked mashed potatoes

500 g fillet steak

Black pepper

1 tbsp wasabi paste

4 spring onions

40 ml soy sauce

1 tbsp sesame oil

1 tbsp ground ginger

Method

Put the mashed potatoes in the microwave for roughly four minutes. This is going to get a little bit more complicated... not much though.

Rub freshly ground black pepper on to the steak, and cook for four minutes on each side. As the beef cooks, remove the mash and mix in the wasabi paste. Leave to stand until the beef is nearly ready.

Spoon a dollop of potato on to each plate, Cut the spring onions into strips and lay them on top of the mash,

Slice the beef very thinly and divide between the plates.

Mix together the soy sauce, sesame oil and ginger. Drizzle each with the sauce and serve with a blob more wasabi on the side.
